When will the Girl Scout Experience Center Open?
We hope to complete phase one of this project by early September 2025. However, the Girl Experience Center space, which will be outfitted to suit the needs of girls and volunteers, will open at a later date. Stay tuned for updates on our progress!
Will there be a Girl Scout Store at the Girl Scout Experience Center?
Phase one includes a redesigned store space. Moving and setting up inventory will take time, but we will continue to meet the needs of girls and volunteers through the council store. If you have specific needs or would like to order ahead, please email customercare@girlscoutssa.org.
It makes me sad that the Mobile office is closing. Why can’t GSSA just renovate the building?
The current Mobile office has provided a warm and welcoming home for Girl Scouts for many years, and we celebrate this legacy. However, we must meet the needs of girls, both now and in the future, and our Girl Experience Center will do just that, with a girl-focused space that is designed for them. We cannot do this in our previous space.
My girls work hard to sell cookies. Is GSSA putting our cookie funds toward this project?
No. GSSA is funding the transition to the Girl Experience Center through our board-approved property budget and the sale of the current Mobile office. Any overage funds from the sale of 3483 Springhill Avenue will be placed in a board-restricted account to support the continuous improvement of GSSA properties.
Will we still be able to see some of the GS Archives?
Yes, we plan to highlight a selection of archive items at each of GSSA's properties.
