Mrs. Marcie loves that Girl Scouts is all about growing girls of courage, confidence, and character. She loves that the programming is hands on and it helps to reinforce the concepts girls hear about in their classes. And it’s FUN!
Each year, GSSA provides the Girl Scouting experience to more than 1,500 girls in southern Alabama through the Girl Scouts In School Program.
Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama provides girls in grades K–6 with programming during the school day. Our comprehensive educational programs address STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), health, community service, financial literacy, relationship and communication skills, arts and the humanities, as well as life skills such as online safety and anti-bullying.
Girl Scouts In School Programs are supported by grant funding, public and private donations, and dedicated community volunteers.
When you register you'll have the option to purchase a shirt for your Girl Scout!
