Work with and oversee a team of volunteers to create an exciting and rewarding experience for your troop. This position requires annual membership, background screening, and completion of all training as assigned. Serve as the troop’s primary contact for Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama, as well as one of the signers on the troop’s bank account.
Support the Troop Coordinator by overseeing the planning and implementation of girl-led badge earning, troop level activities, events and other tasks needed to build girls of confidence. This position requires annual membership, background screening, and completion of all assigned trainings.
Help support the troop in their financial journey. Ensure the financial integrity of the troop by engaging the girls in goal setting and budgeting. Maintaining the troop checking account (signer), keeping accurate records, and communicating financial information with troop members, caregivers and GSSA. Coordinate the Girl Scout cookie program at the troop level and support the next generation of savvy business leaders! You will communicate procedures to parents and plan pickup dates/times for caregivers to pick up inventory. You will also schedule cookie booths, manage inventory and troop cookie money. GSSA provides in-depth training prior to the start of cookie sales as well as support throughout cookie season. This position requires annual membership, background screening, a signed position description and completion of all trainings as assigned.
You will coordinate the fall product program (Munchies & Mags) at the troop level. You will receive training and then guide the troop through a successful program to get the troop year off to a great start! Use your special skills and gain more skills as a Troop Helper! Whether by working with girls at troop meetings, chaperoning, driving girls, coordinating field trips, supervising cookie booths, or by earning a special certification, such as First Aid/CPR, Outdoor Essentials (camping), Zipline, Small Watercraft, Archery, etc., you will provide extra troop support as needed.
