Every fall, Girl Scouts have the opportunity to fund amazing experiences by taking part in the Munchies & Mags Fall Product Program. Girl Scouts reach out to family and friends to take orders for chocolates, nuts, and magazine subscriptions. Orders can be placed in-person or online through each girl's personalized online storefront. Items arrive just in time for Thanksgiving and make great holiday gifts.

Through this program, girls learn financial literacy and develop five leadership skills: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics.

The Munchies & Mags Fall Product Program is designed for easy participation and troops get a head start on funding their activities for the year.

Benefits of Participating:

Girls learn and practice the Five Skills: people skills, money management, business ethics, goal setting, and decision making, as they earn funds for their troop and exciting rewards.

The Fall Product Program is an excellent way to earn start up funds for your troop to use during the Girl Scout year to fund your activities and projects.

How the Fall Product Program Works:

This financial literacy program allows girls to be entrepreneurs by offering family and friends the opportunity to purchase delicious nuts, chocolates and magazines.

There are multiple ways to participate:

In-person by taking orders using the nut order card and collecting payments.

Online by inviting friends and family to place an order. Customers can choose to have nuts, chocolates, or magazines shipped directly to them, or they can select from a group of nut and chocolate products that girls can deliver.

By participating in the Fall Product Program, you have the opportunity to practice the Five Skills and earn additional badges tied to Financial Literacy.

How to Get Started:

✓ SET a Goal. Goal setting is important because you create a plan and list steps you need to take to reach them. You can set an individual and troop goal. Think about what activities you want to do and how much they will cost.

✓ PLAN your strategy to reach your goal. Think about what steps you and your troop need to take to meet your goal. How many magazines and/or nut and chocolate items do you need to sell?

✓ START selling and remember to always follow Girl Scout Safety Activity and GSSA guidelines.

✓ TRACK your progress.

✓ CELEBRATE your accomplishments together!

Care to Share toggle arrow

Girl Scouts have a long tradition of making the world a better place and knowing the importance of community service and the value of giving back! During the Fall Product Program, this can be achieved through our Care to Share donation program.

Care to Share encourages girls to ask customers to donate as little as $8 so nuts and chocolates can find their way to military organizations, first responders or other local heroes throughout southern Alabama.

GSSA facilitates the delivery of products purchased through the Care to Share program and all donations count towards girl rewards and troop proceeds.

A position description signed by the troop's Fall Product Coordinator is required for the troop to participate in the Fall Product program.

Fall Product Bonus Requirements

Troop Fall Product Coordinator is registered and approved.
Troop must have a minimum of 6 girls participating in the Fall Product Program
Minimum of $500 in Fall Product sales
Successful ACH for Fall Product Program

The Fall Product bonus will be 30 cents per case this year, and the cookie bonus will be 35 cents per case, but if a troop qualifies for both bonuses, they will receive 75 cents per case!
