The Johnson Center for the Arts in Troy is hosting a Kids Book Club:
Comic Edition. Girl Scout Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes are invited
to use your imagination and create your own original comic story.
Newspaper, comic books, graphic novels, and more - comic art is a
broad, exciting, and growing field. Girl Scouts will learn about the
format, story building, and dialogue that plays a part of each comic.
Comics are a visual story told however you would like to tell it, so
go for it! Girl Scouts will also have the chance to create a delicious
and edible version of their original character. Who doesn't enjoy a
good story and a tasty snack!
Cadettes will earn and receive the
Comic Artist Badge. Brownies and Juniors will receive a fun patch for
attending. Adults can drop off their Girl Scout or stay and watch for
free.
