When you see all the colors and textures of fabrics and yarns, do you
dream up a million things to do with them? Get ready to turn those
visions into reality as you discover materials, learn about the world
of textile arts, and create two art projects to take home. Cadette,
Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts are invited to explore your tools
and materials, learn the basics, and make something for everyday use
or for a special occasion. Participants will have the opportunity to
experiment with a range of textile art techniques and processes and
will be able to take home some of their own creations. All supplies
are provided for you, and Seniors will earn and receive the Textile
Artist Badge for attending. Cadettes and Ambassadors will receive a
fun patch for attending.
This is a drop-off event. Adults
are welcome to observe the workshop, but it is not required to stay.
Only registered Girl Scouts will participate in the workshop and take
home two art projects.
