When you see all the colors and textures of fabrics and yarns, do you dream up a million things to do with them? Get ready to turn those visions into reality as you meet with artists, learn about the world of textile arts, and create two art projects to take home. Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts are invited to visit the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art for a Textile Artist workshop. Find your tools and materials, learn the basics, and make something for everyday use or for a special occasion. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with a quilting exhibit from The Jule Museum's collections, even going behind the scenes of the museum! In addition, they will have the opportunity to experiment with a range of textile art techniques and processes and will be able to take home some of their own creations. All supplies are provided for you, and Seniors will earn and receive the Textile Artist Badge for attending.
