Join us for the 2026 Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival as Bellingrath Gardens & Home transforms into a breath-taking display of light and artistry. The Gardens will turn into a luminous dreamscape, where over 40 towering, handcrafted sculptures tell a story through plants, animals, and fantastical creatures, blending ancient tradition with modern innovation.
The event takes place during the day, not in the evening while the lanterns are glowing. Unfortunately group rates are not available for evening programs.
Our day program will give families an opportunity to explore the lanterns against the colorful backdrop of the garden's flora and fauna.
Girl Scout tickets include a craft to create your own lantern
to take home, a bingo game to play as you explore the grounds, and a
custom patch. Adult group tickets do not include a patch.
Participants must enter the grounds between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on May 16, but can stay until the Garden closes at 4 p.m. Tickets for the evening glow lantern tours must be purchased separately through Belligrath Gardens.
