Part I: GSSA Archery Training includes an online
pre-course as well as an in-person practical course and skills
test. This GSSA certification enables adult volunteers (19+) to
facilitate archery at GSSA properties. The pre-course must be
completed prior to attending the in-person practical course and skills
test.
Part II: GSSA Axe Throwing is a practical course
and includes a skills test. This GSSA certification enables adult
volunteers (19+) to facilitate axe-throwing activities at GSSA
properties. GSSA's Axe Throwing Certification requires a range safety
pre-course, which may be fulfilled by completing GSSA Archery
Training. The axe-throwing part of the training will also include
instruction on leading slingshots for girls, which is an excellent
introduction to Target Sports for our youngest members!
Please plan to bring a sack lunch.
This event is designed
as an adult training activity, so we are unable to accommodate guests
under the age of 19.
