Each year, our council spends more than $320 per girl to provide the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
We need your investment to make this possible.
Do you or your business have supplies that could be donated, or a facility that we could use to hold an event?
Your donation of an in-kind gift could mean a tax donation for you and a very real benefit to local Girl Scouts.

Invest in Girls. Change the World.
An investment in Girl Scouts has an impact that is broader than addressing a cause or a cure. It is a committment to a generation.
GSSA has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.
#GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to kick-off the holiday giving season and to inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

The Girl Scout Leadership Experience improves the lives of more than girls and adults in southern Alabama.
We tailor our programs for the developmental, educational, emotional and social needs of girls as they grow -- from precious Kindergarteners through proud young women at their high school graduations.
100% of Girl Scouts make a difference in their community.
GSSA focuses on activities and lessons that build leadership skills and develop a strong sense of self-worth. It is a safe and encouraging environment that challenges individuals and groups to make a difference in the world and create lasting friendships. Recent girl-led projects include:
Girl Scouts recently have constructed a helipad for medical evacuations.
- A Girl Scout who lives in a public housing community won a national poster award from an advertising agency with the slogan, "fly above all expectations."
- Girl Scout troops take turns making dinner for residents of a women-only homeless shelter.
- A Girl Scout troop in painted trash cans at a park to encourage proper trash disposal.

The excitement of a new Girl Scout year is in the air. It's "Back to Troop" time; that means it's also Family Partnership time. Family Partnership is part of our council's Annual Giving Campaign. It is a volunteer driven campaign to create a community of interest and raise much-needed funds to support the mission and programs of Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama. Parents, guardians, grandparents, and friends who support the campaign show their Girl Scout how much they value her participation in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
Donations are allocated to general operating funds which support programming throughout our 30-county service area. These funds help offset the cost to deliver and support the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, allowing more girls to participate in the life-changing activities we offer. For a donation of $25, you will receive a special patch or tag for an existing patch that your Girl Scout can wear on her uniform. Make your Family Partnership donation with this form.
Combined Giving Campaigns --Why are we giving you a standing ovation? Because we so appreciate your designating GSSA in your United Way, Alabama State Combined Campaign and Combined Federal Campaign giving!
