Ready, Set, Kindergarten! Give Her a Great Start

Kindergarten Readiness

Starting kindergarten is a big step, and we at Girl Scouts want to make sure that girls are comfortable and confident. Let us stand with you to support and inspire girls as they make new friends, meet new teachers, and test out new ideas. Our girl-centered kindergarten readiness series  "Make New Friends" is free and open to any girl entering kindergarten this fall.

For Educators

At Girl Scouts, we recognize that as educators, you take a journey with new students each year as they go into the next grade. Let us help your rising Kindergarteners and their families this summer!

We invited your rising Kindergartner families to join Girl Scouts for “Make New Friends: Kindergarten Launch”, a virtual series that allows girls to strengthen their social and emotional skills with other girls her age as they prepare for the new school year! This four-part series will allow her to connect with the same friends each week as Girl Scouts staff lead her through four skill-building areas that will help prepare her for Kindergarten.

Make New Friends is free and open to all girls and their families, heading into Kindergarten this coming Fall – no Girl Scout membership necessary. In addition to the sessions, families will receive additional resources after each session to continue skill-development with their girl.

We have letter samples and newsletter or email samples that we can send you. Contact us here to request more information.

For Parents/Caregivers

At Girl Scouts, we recognize that as caregivers you may be thinking about how to prepare your girl for her Kindergarten year. Going into Kindergarten is a big moment for the entire family, but most importantly, your girl.

We understand it is a transition that we have been through with millions of girls across the country. Transitioning to school with new friends, new responsibilities, and gaining independence, let Girl Scouts be a friend to her when her environment is changing.

We invite your rising Kindergartner girl and a caretaker to join Girl Scouts for “Make New Friends: Kindergarten Launch”, a virtual series that allows your girl to strengthen her social and emotional skills with other girls her age as they prepare for the new school year! This free, four-part series will allow her to connect with the same friends each week as Girl Scouts staff lead her through four skill-building areas that will help prepare her for Kindergarten.

Make New Friends is free and open to all girls and their families, heading into Kindergarten this coming Fall – no Girl Scout membership necessary.
