Leader Tips: January 2011 Archives

We've noticed that some of your troop checks, used to pay fall product and event registrations, are not imprinted with the correct council or troop information.  For legal purposes, "Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama, Tr# ____ " should appear on troop checks along with the address of one of your leadership team members.  The council's mailing address should NOT be on troop checks.  Also, to better safeguard troop funds, one team member should carry the checkbook and another should receive the statement or have online access to view troop account activity.
