Pepsi accepts 1,000 ideas per month from people, businesses, and non-profits with ideas that will have a positive impact in their community for their Refresh Everything challenge. The charge is to, "Look around your community and think about how you want to change it." Then, grants are given for the top ten voted projects in each monetary level. Several Girl Scout councils are doing just that:
Girl Scouts of Frontier Council is one of the finalists for the Pepsi Refresh Grant at the $50,000 award level. Give them a chance to help send girls to camp at http://www.refresheverything.com/campfoxtail
Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Council was selected as one of several finalists for the Pepsi Refresh Grant at the $25,000 award level. The grant was written by two GSVSC girl members, Sam and Meredith, and requests money to build the first platform tent units at Icimani Adventure Center. Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina (GSESC) is in the $25,000 award level, also. Support 16 all-girl FIRST LEGO League robotics teams in South Carolina at http://www.refresheverything.com/gsescgoeslego.
Once you go to the sites (each of these takes you directly to the council's project), you simply click "Vote for this idea". The voting ends May 31, and all of these councils need our help! You can vote every day for each of these councils, so let's help our sister Girl Scouts out.
Share your thoughts with us about projects that you would like to see Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama pursue.
