 Celebrate the 100th anniversary of women's right to vote! The morning session, for Daisies through Cadettes, will feature activities focused on different aspects of the women's suffrage movement and doing projects (drawing, play writing, or poster-making, depending on age) on the topic. In the afternoon, girls in grades 7-12 are invited to come to an open Q&A about women in politics with Auburn University Women's History Professor (and troop leader) Melissa Blair. Merit badges/petals are not included in the cost, but all girls will receive a Women's Suffrage Event patch for the back of their sash/vest. Snacks will be provided. Cadettes interested in attending both sessions should bring a sack lunch.
