Outreach Programs

We believe every girl deserves access to the life-changing benefits of Girl Scouts!

Our Outreach Program reaches girls, mostly from under-served parts of southern Alabama. Each year through this program, we provide the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to more than 2,500 potentially at-risk girls.  Girl Scout Outreach activities are supported by council resources, and generous donors and volunteers.

The reality is that the population of girls, for whom this leadership experience is essential, is growing. Without the support of grant funding, public and private donations, and our dedicated outreach volunteers, we would not have the resources necessary to provide Girl Scouts to the girls who need us most.

Public Schools

With support from the school administration, Girl Scouts is expanding in some of the lowest-performing schools in southern Alabama. The Girl Scout model engages teachers, parents and the community to provide girls with a safe space to explore their interests and grow in confidence.

The unique benefits for girls and the seamless way in which our program and a school's program work together to maximize outcomes are just two of the many reasons to get involved. If you're interested in having Girl Scouts in your school, please contact our Customer Care Team. Learn more about how Girl Scouts can enhance student's success by reading our Educator Guide.
