This year's theme is "Inspired by U." This Cookie Season, Girl Scouts across the country will be inspiring change. They will discover what matters most to them, connect with people in their community and use the power of Girl Scouts cookies to take action and make the world a better place.

Girls from our council tell what they are doing to create change and inspire their sister Girl Scouts:

To make a change in my community, I'm helping with two younger troops, so that they can have an mentor closer to their age. One of these troops is completely funded by Girl Scouts for girls who wouldn't otherwise get to experience the program. I am also volunteering to help with Girl Scout summer camp, so that I can help children learn to love the place I've loved since childhood. I hope some day when they are older, they will do these same things with younger girls. -- Elisabeth N.

I want to inspire other girls my age to deal with issues such as peer pressure and bullying. My troop and I have done the "Sister to Sister" program from the Girl Scout website and we plan to earn an IP that is related to the same issues. -- Aliyah C.
