Camp Scoutshire Woods is in need of a wonderful nurse, who would love to be at camp for a week or two! Dates needed are: June 19-June 24, and/or June 26-July 2. You have the option to be paid staff (pay is modest) or you can volunteer as the camp nurse, and bring one camper (daughter/granddaughter) free for each week that you volunteer. We are looking for an RN, LPN, or emergency first responder licensee. Other positions open are:

• Boating Director/counselor 17 years or older

• Lifeguard/counselor 17 years or older

• Assistant to Horse Director 17 years or older, experienced in working with children and horses

The Outreach Program Facilitator delivers outreach programs in the River Region. Facilitators present academic enhancement programs and the Girl Scout Leadership program in Head Start Centers and local elementary schools in the River Region. S/he works collaboratively with the Outreach Specialist and other outreach staff to fulfill the requirements of funded initiatives including direct program delivery, organizing program-related events, maintenance of records and reports and communication with community partners.  Part-time position.

The Outreach Specialist is a part-time position. The Outreach Specialist works with the Advancement Team to develop partnerships and collaborative relationships to extend and support the impact of Girl Scouting within assigned council's jurisdiction.  S/he will assist with development and outreach administrative duties in the Mobile office, including management and supervision of grants and funded initiatives and facilitation of outreach programs.  Position may require periodic weekends and evenings.

We are looking for an individual with a successful track record in community development for the position of Outreach Programs Manager.  This position is responsible for developing an outreach strategy for the entire 30 counties that comprise Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama. The Outreach Programs manager translates the recruitment strategy into operational goals to maximize girl and adult volunteer members.

Are you a nurse who like the outdoors?  Does your daughter want to attend camp for free?  Kamp Kiwanis is looking for nurses for summer resident camp. We need one registered nurse per week, June 13-July 8, 2011, to serve as camp nurse.  Duties include dispensing medication to campers, assisting campers who are ill, etc.  In exchange for your time volunteering, your daughter will be able to spend one week at Kamp Kiwanis free of charge. Job Description: Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama seeks a program aid to assist the program coordinator with troop activities for a special-needs troop at the Vivian B Adams School in Ozark. The troop meets Wednesday mornings twice a month and occasionally takes special outings.

 

Requirement:  Good rapport with special needs women and girls. Good organizational skills. Must be available Wednesday mornings and as needed for occasional special trips. Must have own transportation.

 

Salary:  $10 per hour plus mileage

Job Description: Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama seeks a program facilitator to work with 1^st and 2^nd graders  at T.S. Morris Elementary School in Montgomery.  The facilitator will deliver a prepared, 6-session Girl Scouts literacy program during the school day in the Fall 2009 semester.  The program will begin as soon as possible with a flexible schedule.  Training will be provided.

The Girl Scouts is establishing troops at McIntosh Elementary in Washington County through their 21 Century Afterschool Program. Three part-time, temporary Program Facilitators are needed during the afterschool hours on Tuesdays to deliver prepared Scouting activities with the girls enrolled.  Training and supplies provided.
