Thanks to Vicki Hudson for planning this unique council-wide Girl Scout eventBrownies and Juniors may attend the day program, and Older Girls (Cadettes, Seniors, & Ambassadors) have a special overnight option just for them.  The program will be held at SIFAT in Lineville, Alabama.  To learn more, please visit the SIFAT website,  Troop registration forms and payment are due February 25, 2009.  Daytime program for Brownies, Juniors and Older Girl Scouts:
9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2009
Cost: $20 (includes program, lunch, one badge, and one activity patch)
Around the World CARES program
Around the World is a geography-based program that allows girls to walk into developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Girls learn what daily life is like outside of their communities, such as climates and terrains, animal life, unique foods, native jobs and cultural entertainment.

Global Village Overnight Experience for Older Girl Scouts (grades 6-12):
9 a.m. Saturday, April 4, until 10 a.m., Sunday, April 5, 2009
Cost: $55 (includes the entire daytime Around the World program and lunch, as well as dinner Saturday evening, overnight lodging in the "Global Village" in a variety of developing world settings, breakfast Sunday morning, Appropriate Technology CARES program, event patch, and one IPA)
